OUR STORY

The Cadbury family built Sarn Badrig as their North Wales holiday home in 1932, on a site with a view that is one of the best in the world.  The house was featured on the BBC's "Discovering Welsh Houses" and was selected for inclusion in the book of the series because of its superb location and architecture.  Both the BBC programme and the book identify Sarn Badrig as an ideal place to watch the magnificent sunsets whilst the Cadbury's chocolates on the pillows are sure to please any guest with a sweet tooth.

During 2014 the size of the lounge/dining area has been trebled and an en-suite fourth bedroom added below.  Around three sides of the lounge area there is now a balcony, to which access is gained through large sliding windows on the north and west side. From the original French window there is access to new exterior seating and dining area supplementing the original patio, dining table and loungers.

From either the balcony or the lounge, Harlech Castle, as well as Snowdon can now be viewed to the north and Shell island to the south in addition to the wonderful views of the bay, the beach and the sand dunes, the course of Royal St. David’s Golf Club and the Lleyn Peninsular.

Air source heating provides an ambient temperature of about 22 degrees and is provided throughout the year by under floor heating and radiators.

The Wales Coastal path opened in 2012 and passes the corner of Sarn Badrig's field.  Sarn Badrig has a large garden, a new coastal garden and field with access to the beach down a zig zag path crossing the Cambrian railway to rock pools, sand dunes and very safe bathing, perfect for children.
